NDIS Perfect Solution
Out of Home Care
Out of Home Care (OOHC) under the NDIS provides essential support for children and young people who cannot live with their birth families due to safety concerns or other reasons. It includes foster care, kinship care, residential care, and permanent care arrangements.
The NDIS works with state and territory child protection authorities to ensure that these children get the support they need for their daily lives, health, education and social participation. The goal is to create a stable and nurturing environment that promotes their well-being and development.
Out of home care plans are tailored to each child's needs, and support is coordinated by a variety of stakeholders, including caregivers, service providers and advocacy organisations, to ensure comprehensive and effective care. Despite challenges such as complex needs and cultural sensitivities, out of home care aims to provide high-quality, individualised support to help children thrive and build a brighter future.
